Poppy Fields is one of the most unique and innovative comics on the scene today,combining her crazy style, wild wit and character voices, she has crowds laughing from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. Born in Poughkeepsie NY and raised in Younstown Ohio,where she participated and placed in numereous beauty pageants, worked as a Ring Girl in Boxing Matches, all while still in high school.. She moved to Northern California and worked for MCHammer,she got some small movie roles in "Sister Act 2" and "So I married an axe murderer" but after catching Margaret Cho at Cobbs Comedy Club she caught the comedy bug.She started her comedy career in San Franciso's Brainwash, soon after moving to NYC,she attended American Academy of Dramatic Arts while she worked at the Boston Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club and Comic Strip as a regular. A versatile actress she studied with Johanna Beckson, Alice Spivak and Bill Hopkins. Her act is filled with wild and unbelievable stories about her life before and during her life as a comic in NYC in the early 90's. She was featured on the Sopranos, The Unusuals , the Chris Rock Show and As the World Turns and a few indie films and a pilot for Charlie Murphys Crash Comedy. Her unique look, high style and relatable problems make Poppy Fields someone to watch.....Poppy now resides in Chicago IL
